Asghari Hildell

Asghari Hildell is a London-based design partnership of Swedish-born Tom Hildell and Anglo-Iranian Omid Asghari. United by a fascination with, and deep knowledge of the possibilities of manufacturing processes applied to furniture Asghari Hildell represent a multi-national mix of influences and tastes. The duo celebrates the combination of mechanized processes, industrial materials and techniques in the pieces combined with a high level of artisanal hand skill, that come together in their philosophy and their furniture.

Asghari Hildell made its debut into contemporary design pieces with these new commissions for Andree Cooke. Sprung and Dodec were their first new commissions which launched the duo in 2015, followed by Totem I and II produced in 2016. Andree continues to develop new pieces with them in limited editions and bespoke to commission.

Hildell managed production for David Gill Gallery where he gained in-depth experience with materials and fabrication methods. Asghari, a graduate of Brunel University, approaches design from a knowledge mathematics and mechanics.
